Unfreeze builds a blocking schedule around how you actually get pulled away — not a generic timer.
Turn it on, or start a manual block anytime — Gentle, Firm, or Deep Focus, however locked-in you need to be.
Get one tiny step — free, up to five times a day. Never a whole plan.
Pick the apps — and the distracting sites — that pull you away, and shut them off on demand or on a schedule.
Set it once. Up to three schedules block automatically for the times you already know you'll lose yourself.
Deep Focus holds the shield with no early exit. Gentle and Firm let you take a short, timed break instead — the block resumes on its own.
Type or say what you're stuck on and get a single, physical, doable-right-now step — never a plan. Free, up to five times a day.
Doomscrolling or hyperfocused instead of frozen? Switch modes and get one tiny step to put it down.
Not ready to move yet? A small companion sits with you in a living scene, brown noise playing — free, always open, no daily limit.
A quiet follow-through timer — on screen and on your Lock Screen as a Live Activity — keeps the step in view without turning it into a deadline.
Monthly, annual, and lifetime — pick your plan at checkout. Prices are shown in the App Store.
Download on the App StoreUnfreeze is built with your privacy in mind. Here's what we collect and why.
Unfreeze stores your ritual steps and session data locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device. Which apps and websites you choose to block is handled entirely by Apple's on-device Screen Time (Family Controls) frameworks and never leaves your device either.
When you submit a task, the text you typed — or dictated — is relayed through our Cloudflare Worker to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your micro-step and comes straight back to your phone; we keep no copy of it, only a daily count of how many steps were generated. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data.
If you dictate instead of typing, Apple's built-in speech recognition turns what you say into text first, under Apple's privacy policy. The same short clip is then sent once to our Cloudflare Worker, which passes it to Cloudflare's hosted speech model (Whisper) for a cleaner transcript. The audio is processed in memory and discarded immediately: we keep no recordings, and the clip is never linked to your name or email. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to that processing. If the second pass fails, the app simply keeps Apple's transcript.
If you subscribe to Unfreeze Pro, your purchase is processed through Apple and managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase data for subscription management.
If you allow notifications, the app registers an anonymous push token with our Cloudflare Worker so we can send occasional product updates and questions — never marketing. The token is not linked to your name, email, or task text, and you can switch this off at any time in Settings → "Messages from the developer", which stops further messages. When you email us from Settings → "Contact the app developer", the draft is prefilled with your app version, device model, iOS version, and anonymous purchase ID so we can help faster; delete anything you'd rather not send.
To see where people get stuck and improve the app, we collect anonymous usage data: which screens you open, which onboarding steps you reach, whether the paywall was shown or closed and which reason (if any) you tapped, and whether a purchase succeeded. This is sent — tagged with the same anonymous purchase ID described above, never your name or email — to our own Cloudflare Worker and stored in our own database. It never includes the text of your tasks or any advertising identifier, and we use no third-party analytics SDK. We still run no advertising SDKs and do no cross-app tracking.
Unfreeze works entirely without an account.
